Marc McArdle is a Customer Success Manager at the Copyright Licensing Agency (CLA), where he has worked for more than 7 years. As part of a team of Customer Success Managers and Customer Success Executives, Marc works to support the renewal and maintenance of existing CLA licensees’ accounts and to build consultative, informative working relationships with key stakeholders within licensed organisations across numerous sectors, including pharmaceuticals, law and the public sector. His focus is on helping licensees to navigate the world of copyright licensing, and assisting organisations of all sizes in simplifying and enhancing their compliant reuse of published content.
Dr Jackie Marchington, PhD, ISMPP CMPPâ„¢, is a passionate and experienced leader in the field of medical communications, with over 30 years of expertise. She currently serves as the Head of Compliance and Ethics at IPG Health Medical Communications, where she ensures that the organization operates with integrity and adheres to ethical standards, all while helping clients achieve their goals.
Jackie is known for her unwavering commitment to transparency and ethical publication practices. She co-chairs the International Society for Medical Publication Professionals (ISMPP) Publication Practices Committee and has played a key role in initiatives like the now-retired Global Alliance of Publication Professionals. Her work has contributed to shaping industry standards and fostering trust in medical communications.
One of Jackie’s standout contributions is co-authoring the “Good Practice for Conference Abstracts and Presentations” (GPCAP) guidelines, which promote clarity and integrity in conference presentations. Beyond her professional achievements, Jackie is a self-described “copyright geek” and a strong advocate for fair attribution in medical writing.
Jackie is also passionate about demystifying medical communications, working to debunk myths and promote best practices across the industry. Her dedication to high standards and her approachable style have made her a respected and trusted voice in the field.
