Our London office

Located at WeWork Tower Bridge, our London headquarters boasts spectacular views over the city, Tower of London, Thames, and St. Katharine’s docks. Our team enjoys the WeWork communal spaces, events, coffee, and balconies overlooking some of London’s most famous landmarks.

Care and inclusivity are important to our team. We have social events, paid volunteering days, and doggy day in the office. Our office is easy to get to – we’re within walking distance of Tower Hill, Tower Gateway, Aldgate, London Bridge and Liverpool Street stations, as well as bus and riverboat services. It’s also easy to find something to eat for lunch with many popular restaurants and bars nearby.

Our Edinburgh office

If you join our Edinburgh office, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the castle and Arthur’s seat. It’s also easy to find, with links to the Prince’s Street tram stop and Edinburgh Waverley station. Like the London office, our Edinburgh base has a fully equipped office and private meeting rooms, and many nearby cafes and restaurants for lunch.

Hybrid working

Volunteering opportunities

We use Matchable to drive skills-based volunteering for causes towards the UN's Sustainable Development Goals in a setting that works for our people - from home, on site, individual or group.

Learning and development

We believe in providing learning and development opportunities for our team. We encourage everyone to take a minimum of 7 hours a year in training, and will help fund further qualifications where it’s relevant.

I joined CLA in June 2015 as a Receptionist. Over the following 8 years I have progressed through the company from a HR Administrator, to a HR Assistant and recently to a HR Advisor where I am now managing a new member of staff. It has been an amazing experience to work for a company where I can develop and enhance my career.

As an individual I am passionate about how people feel at work and I love that CLA matches my ideologies. Supporting individuals and helping them grow fills me with joy. CLA continues to invest in their employees which enables me to support individual’s needs.

I continue to grow at CLA and no two days are the same. CLA has a fantastic work life balance which helps me with a young family. I have had the same manager since joining CLA and he has helped create a pathway for my career. The team around me makes work enjoyable and makes me look forward to working each day.

I first started at CLA 23 years ago and have thoroughly enjoyed my time working as a customer service administrator. I mainly work on the education licences but also spend some time on the business licences. I really enjoy my role which involves preparing education data, invoicing, processing new licences, speaking to customers and general admin work.

I work in a really friendly team and everyone at CLA are all very nice - it is a very pleasant place to work! My work also involves liasing with other departments and providing information to them when required. I get a huge amount of job satisfaction in everything I do here.

Since joining CLA in April 2020, I continue to enjoy my role within the Edinburgh Business Development team. Working with a range of businesses and organisations, I help to provide them with the appropriate licence solution to meet their individual requirements.

I have found CLA to be a very flexible and supportive employer, allowing staff to maintain a healthy and positive work / life balance while always ensuring communication channels are open and feedback encouraged. Regular companywide meetings ensure all staff are aware of direction and developments, departmental meetings are frequent and help me feel close to my own team and weekly 1:1s with my line manager facilitate personal support.

Knowing that CLA is part of the process of assisting copyright owners being paid fair royalties for the use of their work feels satisfying and I am proud of the small part I play in this.

I joined CLA as a Customer Support Advisor back in the spring of 2019, supporting users of the Education Platform, our digital tool for teacher. I was fortunate enough to work directly with talented product managers and business analysts. At the same time, I collaborated with developers who build online applications for CLA’s customers.

Prior to joining CLA, my tech knowledge was patchy. When the company adopted Power BI, this enabled me to skill up even with limited coding experience. With the support of colleagues and the company, I’m now a Data Analyst and will take an advanced higher education course soon.

My increasing focus is on improving the data we collect, and better understanding our business processes. I’m developing statistics skills, and there’s always something new to learn. Recently I’ve worked on a project with AI developers who are working at the state of the art.
