Excluded Works – Education Licence

Some categories of published works are not covered by any of CLA’s licences and these include:

• printed music (including the words)
• maps and charts
• newspaper content in both print and digital format, except titles represented by Knowledge Bylanes and Syndigate, details of which are available on CLA’s website or other electronic means controlled by CLA
• workbooks, work cards or assignment sheets
• In addition to this, there are works that are expressly excluded by the copyright owners

Please note that if you wish to copy from any of the works listed as excluded, you should contact the copyright owners directly for permission prior to copying. In the first instance, this would usually be the publisher.
