CLA partners with Recite Me to enhance the accessibility of its digital platforms

The Copyright Licensing Agency (CLA) is proud to announce a more inclusive online experience, ensuring barrier-free access to its website content and services.

As part of CLA’s sustainability drive to ensure its platforms are more accessible to all, the organisation sought a solution that would empower visitors to personalise their digital journey. Powered by Recite Me assistive technology, this enhancement is a key part of its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion strategy and provides users with a wide range of accessibility and language support tools.

This inclusive approach is crucial, as over 25% of the population may face barriers when navigating websites due to disabilities, learning difficulties, visual impairments, or English as a second language.

The Recite Me toolbar on cla.co.uk offers screen reading, diverse reading aids, customisable styling, and on-demand live translation in over 100 languages, including 65 text-to-speech options.

Tim Cooper, CLA’s Head of Marketing and Product, emphasises:

At CLA we are dedicated to ensuring we deliver solutions where  customers can access our information and services in a way that best suits their individual needs. We have deployed the Recite Me toolbar on the CLA website and other customer facing digital platforms.”

This commitment recognises that the internet can be daunting for those with access barriers, and without the necessary tools, understanding and communication become a significant challenge.

Ross Linnett Recite Me’s Founder and CEO commented:

“It is important to provide an inclusive online experience, where everyone can use our digital world in a way in which best suits their needs. As more organisations provide accessibility tools online, those who face online barriers can access information and services hassle-free. The digital world must be accessible for all.”
