Welcome to our brand new blog for Schools! We're very excited to be launching this blog that will build a stronger relationship between CLA and teachers and education professionals across the UK.
In this blog, we will explore the different ways that you can find and use published content for use in the classroom, sharing best practices and top tips that will help to enhance your lessons and give students a richer and more diverse learning experience. We hope that over time this blog will become a home for the community to share their ideas on how published content can best be used to save you valuable time and drive and the progress of your students.
We also want to talk about copyright and the CLA Education Licence, addressing any copyright fears you might have and showing you how much your Licence covers you to do, and the ways that you can make the most of it.
From time to time we'll also be writing blogs about the Schools Printed Music Licence, and the NLA Schools Licence, highlighting how these valuable resources can make printed music and newspapers more accessible to students.
Each month, two issues will be published - one written by us, and one written by you. We're keen to hear from a vast array of teachers and other primary and secondary education professionals who are interested in being guest writers. You can write about your own experiences with copyright and using published content, or any other issue that you feel is relevant to the practical delivery of education in the classroom. If you are interested in being a guest writer, we'd be delighted to hear from you and give a platform to your voice - please get in touch.
